Our new Modern Tech™ steel garage door offers the Beauty of Aluminum with the Strength of Steel. A 24 gauge steel face and a 2 inch thick R10.4 expanded polystyrene (EPS) core makes the Modern Tech™ extremely strong and energy efficient. It is built using Northwest Door’s time-proven sandwich-type construction method.

Panels are constructed using 1-1/2” thick 3-layer steel front and back with insulating polystyrene core, providing efficient thermal protection (R-9.0 thermal rating) from the outside environment. Unbeatable protection against the elements is achieved through our thermal break / tongue and groove section joints, which create a weather tight seal. With twenty-six window designs plus nine glass options there is an array of choices. Hörmann window insert frames are recessed from the panel surface for a cleaner look, and tempered glass panes contribute to safety in case of breakage by keeping large shards of fragmented glass debris in check.
